There are many programs and projects that need support...
ClimateDonor.org has two thrusts: 1) sourcing projects from nonprofits, universities, national labs, and local government agencies in a "one-stop-shop" portal so that individual donors can contribute to initiatives that are important to them; and 2) curating and disseminating apps aimed at mitigating climate change and species extinction.
The sourced projects might be a permaculture gardens in neighborhoods, wetlands restoration projects, alternative energy projects for cities, home energy audits and remediation programs in low income neighborhoods, creating prototypes from university research, clean energy projects for a school, more sustainable farming projects, or providing solar powered lighting for schools in developing countries.
The apps might be tools for protecting local habit for birds and pollinators, games/competitions for saving energy, games/competition for reducing consumption of meat, or social support for buying products made locally.
The goal for our thrusts is to drive more grassroots citizen awareness and engagement and to provide funding to a wide variety of projects that might not otherwise get the funds they need. In aggregate the projects and apps can have a material impact on addressing climate change and help drive awareness and foster sustainable lifestyles.
